Net Element Bull Of The Day: What You Should Know About This Stock

3:01 pm ET, 11 Dec 2017

Net Element

Net Element (NASDAQ: NETE) is a growth payments company that took a beating in 2017.   The Firm provides mobile and online payment solutions in the US, Russia, and the Middle East primarily.

Today, the stock was up 35% on the news that Russia may look to exploit bitcoin to boost the oil market.  The stock trades based on much speculation, so here are some things you should know about Net Element:

  • Its Aptito product line enhances payment processing and is viewed as a big bet for the Company. Aptito is margin-accretive to Net Element and also helps drive customer retention.
  • Net Element has a robust payment processing platform that the Company is betting on geographic expansion with.  Net Element intends to grow the payment processing portfolio internally and through acquisition.
  • The Firm intends to produce double-digit revenue growth in 2017

Now, here are some things about Net Element to be aware of:

  • Return on equity is very low by industry standards.  Return on equity reveals how much profit a company generates with the money shareholders have invested.
  • Book Value is low.  Companies with high book values and low stock prices can be considered as cushioned against severe declines by their intrinsic liquidation value.
  • Cash flow looks poor.  Positive cash flow gives a company funds for internal expansion, acquisitions, and dividend payments.
  • EPS looks unfavorable.  Many investors react strongly to short-term changes in company earnings. Recent trends in the Company's
quarterly EPS performance look unattractive from investors' perspective.

The biggest question is, can the company achieve the target without further common stock dilution and no incremental debt?  If it can, then the Net Element stock should be worth upwards of $15.00 per share by next year based on valuation ratios.
